I believe that Arkansas has two seasons where it shines as a state. One is the springtime when everything starts to bloom and the fish start getting ready to irritate me for another season. The other is fall when cool evenings and clear skies beg for campfires and morning coffee. To be clear, the fall fish still seek to irritate me.
I am especially fond of fall in Arkansas. I’m in for all the traditional colors, leaves falling, cooler weather, and whatnot. I’m in for the camping, campfires, and football starting up. I despise any of the spiced pumpkin whatever the hell it is. Just the weather and camping adventures.
Last year camping didn’t work out as I hoped. I wanted to take my youngest son on a grand camping adventure. For whatever reason, that just didn’t work out, so this year is going to be epic! We’ve already scouted some campsites and are beginning to plan our adventure.

My focus is on enhancing creature comforts and food storage to multi-night stays. I’m also looking to functionally pack everything so that it’s super modular to load up and get to the woods! I’m hoping to get to the point where I’m just loading up clothes and heading out. Ready to get out and have some Arkansas adventures!
